While we’re catalyzing positive change inside PepsiCo, we’re focused on doing the same in the neighborhoods where we operate and where our associates call home. Leveraging our size and reach, our community initiatives include providing education and skills training, mentoring local entrepreneurs and strengthening farming communities.
Agriculture and Farming Communities
The heart of our Positive Agriculture ambition is to support a positive future for farmers. Thriving communities and ecosystems are essential to achieve a secure supply of crops on which our business relies, so we aspire to help farmers grow food in a way that revitalizes the earth and supports their livelihoods. In addition to economic and agronomic support, we aim to provide farmers with opportunities to connect with peers and community champions of regenerative agriculture through means such as holding field days for farmers to learn from other farmers in their community. For example, we showcase proven practices that work locally through demonstration farms. We currently have 83 demonstration farms around the world.
PepsiCo Foundation
Our partnership with the PepsiCo Foundation helps build prosperous communities around the world, something we’re immensely proud of. The Foundation provides skills training, educational support and other tools that people can take into their careers and homes. We’re especially championing opportunities in agriculture with our groundbreaking effort to close the Crop Gap, which helps increase access to resources where women are traditionally underrepresented.
Food for Good
In the U.S., through PepsiCo and the PepsiCo Foundation’s philanthropic global commitment to advance food security, our Food for Good social enterprise has delivered more than 75 million meals since 2009 and served over two million children from 2016 through 2023 — of which 5.3 million meals were delivered to over 150,000 children in 2023 alone.
One Smile at a Time
At PepsiCo, we’re a collection of hyperlocal teams that are embedded in our communities. Through our volunteering platform One Smile at a Time, all associates have access to local and micro-volunteering opportunities that leverage their talents and skills. Volunteering is a way for all our associates to feel more engaged, have a sense of pride and establish a stronger connection with their local team and community.
