Unprecedented rainfall across Eastern and Southern Spain has caused devastating flooding that continues to impact the region. PepsiCo, which operates facilities in the Valencia, Alicante and Castellón areas, remains in contact with affected associates and their families to ensure their safety and provide essential resources.
This ongoing support underscores our commitment to our associates and the communities we are part of during these challenging times.
PepsiCo and the PepsiCo Foundation are also partnering with local and national organizations in Spain to support relief efforts, including:
- Making the PepsiCo facility in Paterna available to the Red Cross and local authorities.
- Shipping and distributing more than 100,000 liters of Aquafina water with the help of local associates.
- Donating $300,000 from the PepsiCo Foundation to disaster relief and humanitarian assistance organizations including $100,000 to World Central Kitchen, $100,000 to Federación Banco de Alimentos, $75,000 to Fundación Ayuda una Familia (Help a Family Foundation) and $25,000 to Cruz Roja (Red Cross).
The PepsiCo Foundation is also matching donations from associates to the Red Cross, which is providing meals, hygiene products, shelter and psychological support in the Valencian community. PepsiCo associates can donate through the One Smile at a Time platform.
