PepsiCo and the PepsiCo Foundation Support Hurricane Helene Relief Efforts

PepsiCo and the PepsiCo Foundation are partnering with national and local organizations to support relief efforts for communities affected by Hurricane Helene, which has devastated multiple Southeastern states.

Working closely with thousands of associates, bottling partners and local suppliers in the region, we are helping to ensure they are safe and have access to resources that support their immediate and long-term recovery.

PepsiCo and the PepsiCo Foundation are supporting relief efforts by committing to more than $500,000, including:

  • Sending 50,000 meals through the PepsiCo Foundation's Food for Good program to the Salvation Army and other local non-profits in North Carolina. We are also providing $100,000 to the Salvation Army to support their response across all impacted regions, with a focus on North Carolina. With 78 mobile feeding sites, our support will help sustain and expand the Salvation Army’s critical services, including providing access to hot meals, water and other essential services.
  • Providing $150,000 to support World Central Kitchen’s meal distribution efforts. This will help provide 20,000 hot meals to impacted families across North Carolina, including Asheville and surrounding impacted communities.
  • Providing $50,000 to Team Rubicon to support their Route Clearance Teams across North Carolina, Tennessee, South Carolina and Georgia. The team is focused on clearing roads, removing debris and providing essential services to ensure first responders and relief supplies can quickly reach people in need.
  • Allocating $50,000 to support local non-profit organizations that are leading response efforts on the ground, such as the North Carolina Disaster Relief Fund, while working alongside our partners to identify further recommendations.
  • Supporting impacted PepsiCo employees through PEPhelp, a PepsiCo Foundation program that provides financial assistance to employees who have experienced a partial or total loss of their primary residence during a FEMA-declared Major Disaster/Emergency or another qualified incident.
  • Amplifying our employee donation matching program so employees and teams can support disaster relief organizations, including the American Red Cross, Team Rubicon, the Salvation Army and other local non-profits.

PepsiCo is also working alongside our bottling partner Pepsi Bottling Ventures to donate truckloads of water to the relief effort, and our PepsiCo Foods North America team is leading a drive to gather essential supplies like non-perishable food, toiletries, clothes and blankets.

As the situation continues to evolve, PepsiCo and the PepsiCo Foundation will continue to explore ways to expand our support.

The PepsiCo Foundation has a longstanding history of community relief efforts and is a member of the American Red Cross Annual Disaster Giving Program, granting at least $500,000 annually to help the Red Cross pre-position supplies, secure shelters, maintain vehicles, and train volunteers to ensure they are prepared to quickly respond to future disasters.

PepsiCo and the PepsiCo Foundation urge others to offer their support. Donations can be made online to Salvation Army, World Central Kitchen and Team Rubicon.
