In response to the recent flash floods that have devastated many parts of Central Texas, PepsiCo and the PepsiCo Foundation are mobilizing to support impacted communities through both immediate relief and long-term recovery efforts.

The floods have tragically claimed lives and displaced families, with communities facing immense challenges as they begin to recover and rebuild.

To help meet this urgent need, PepsiCo and the PepsiCo Foundation are partnering with local and national organizations across Texas to support relief efforts, including:

  • Donating $250,000 from the PepsiCo Foundation to The Salvation Army for immediate relief efforts through mobile kitchens and long-term recovery and rebuilding.
  • Providing a $150,000 grant from the PepsiCo Foundation to Team Rubicon as they support the first responder community with disaster recovery response efforts.
  • Giving $50,000 in grants from the PepsiCo Foundation to local organizations, including the Community Foundation of the Texas Hill Country to support the Kerr County Flood Relief fund which will support the rebuilding efforts.
  • Donating 25,000 shelf-stable meals to The Salvation Army through the PepsiCo Foundation’s Food for Good program to support impacted communities.
  • In addition, PepsiCo is coordinating product donations to the local community, as needs emerge.

“Our business and the heart of our U.S.-based food access initiative, Food for Good, are rooted in Texas, and we are proud to stand with our neighbors in this moment of crisis,” says C.D. Glin, President of the PepsiCo Foundation and Global Head of Social Impact at PepsiCo. “We believe in helping our communities recover and rebuild — not just today, but in the weeks and months to come.”

PepsiCo’s response is being coordinated with local and national partners, including nonprofit organizations and community leaders, to address evolving needs. Employees across North America are also being encouraged to lend their support through giving campaigns and volunteer efforts.

With a presence in Texas that spans more than 60 years, PepsiCo’s connection to the state runs deep. From our people and facilities to long-standing community partnerships, Texas is home to many who make our work possible. In this moment of need, we’re proud to support our neighbors and stand alongside the communities we call home.
