Today we have many brands in the portfolio that offer choices that can contribute to healthy lifestyles such as Tropicana juices, Lipton teas, Quaker cereals, Diet Pepsi, Baked Lay’s potato chips, Sunbites fruit and nut mix, V Water, Duyvis nuts, Sandora juices and Baked Cheetos among others.

History of innovation
PepsiCo has a history of launching products to meet consumer needs for healthier lifestyles including:

  • Tropicana introduced the first ready to serve, not-from-concentrate orange juice in 1954.
  • Diet Pepsi with zero calories was launched in 1964 
  • Gatorade, the first commercially available sports drink, was created in 1965

Building a healthier portfolio
Key acquisitions have helped us expand our offering of more healthful products. The focus to deliver more nutritious offerings started with the acquisition of Tropicana and the merger with Quaker Oats including Gatorade. In the last several years, PepsiCo has acquired or purchased a major stake in the following:

  • PJ Smoothies and V Water in the United Kingdom
  • Sakata rice cakes in Australia 
  • Stacy’s Pita Chips in the U.S.
  • Sandora, the leading juice company in the Ukraine
  • Lebedyansky. Russia’s largest fruit juice company
