Because it's not just
about us.
While we’re catalyzing positive change inside PepsiCo, we’re focused on doing the same in the neighborhoods where we operate and where our associates call home. Leveraging our size and reach, our community initiatives include providing education and skills training, mentoring local entrepreneurs and strengthening farming communities.
Mentoring the next generation of leaders
PepsiCo employees have participated in Million Women Mentors (MWM) across 10 global chapters, pledging more than 23,000 volunteer hours since 2014. This initiative creates mentor/ mentee relationships between STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) career professionals and women who aspire to STEM careers. We have nearly 700 active mentoring relationships, of which more than 160 are mentees outside PepsiCo.
Women With Purpose
In 2017, we invested $1.5 million to launch Women With Purpose, a program that provides education, entrepreneurship and employment opportunities at PepsiCo to more than 12,000 women in Latin America. In partnership with FUNDES Latin America, we’ve been able to offer virtual training, professional mentorship and networking that give women the tools they need to succeed.
Supplier diversity
We’re strengthening our supply chain by seeking out new goods from ethnically diverse, women-owned, LGBTQ+ and veteran companies that represent the diversity of the millions of customers we make smile every day. These long-term relationships add value, innovative ideas and new perspectives to our supply chain — while setting a new standard for the leaders of the food industry.
PepsiCo Foundation
Our partnership with the PepsiCo Foundation helps build prosperous communities around the world, something we’re immensely proud of. We’ve invested $100 million in programs that will reach more than 12.5 million women and girls around the world by 2025. The Foundation provides skills training, educational support and other tools that women can take into their careers and homes. We’re especially championing women in agriculture with our groundbreaking effort to close the Crop Gap, which helps female farmers get access to the same resources as male farmers.
